Expand and Upgrade Phu Bai Airport
Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee has issued Letter No. 5236/UBND-ND allocation of expanded international airport Phu Bai.
According to letter, the PPC agreed delivery of 20 ha of land located southwest of the airport for aviation corporations Port Central implementation of construction projects, upgrading long road and rolled parallel system construction fence , the service road to the airport.
This is one of the Categories of planning to upgrade and expand the Phu Bai Airport has been approved by the government.
Accordingly, 2020, Phu Bai Airport is capable of receiving 20 planes during peak hours with 5 million passengers per year and can absorb 26 aircraft in peak hours with 9 million passengers per year on 2030.
Also, airport parking aircraft is planned to ensure the capacity 23 seats, with the runway would be extended to reach a size 3.048mx45m 2020. Ăm to 2030, Phu Bai airport will be built more runway and expanded the number two airport parking aircraft to reach 43 seats.
The passenger terminal will be built to reach a capacity of 2000 passengers at peak hours, the cargo terminal capacity reached 100,000 tons per year.
After expansion, the passenger terminal can accommodate 4000 passengers at peak hours and receive 200,000 tons of goods per year.
Total land area planned for Phu Bai Airport is 527 ha, with total investment of 12,571 billion VND.
