Insurance Company of Cambodia – Vietnam granted operating license

On November 14, 2009, in PhnomPenh, Cambodia, Insurance Company of Cambodia - Vietnam (CVI) officially granted the license to operate, becoming the 7th insurance companies in Cambodia market.

CVI has been granted established  Licese by the Finance Ministry of Economy of Cambodia on July 24, 2009, and the business registration  by the Ministry of Trade  on August 6, 2009. After three months of preparation, CVI has fully satisfy the conditions prescribed by Cambodian law  on capital, facilities, human resources, risk management systems, product categories, the system software for core business activities.

Mr. Cao Minh Son, Director General CVI, said: "The CVI was formed and developed based on more than 53 years experience in the financial sector bank BIDV, combined legacy of experienced insurance BIC over 10 years operating in Vietnam market and the market in Laos.
